I didn't have much time to enjoy the whole menu, unfortunately for me. But this is a hot spot in oslo for those who want to eat many small dishes with a high quality behind the kitchen! Wine front is also solid with a good selection of natural wines and producers as well as normal and famous one. Worth a visit!

A really interesting 5 course tasting menu, with bread so hip that it's served in a paper bag of warm fennel seeds. Best were the last two dishes. Tender Lamb without the normally gamey taste, paired with an unexpected caramelized cream sauce, and a fennel sorbet to wrap it all up.

In a typically expensive locale for eating out, Arakataka is a breath of fresh air. Modern Scandinavian cuisine at a very reasonable price point. It certainly warrants a visit, and I'd recommend making a reservation. The 5 course tasting menu is the way to go for a first visit, and was thoughtfully designed. I'm not sure if the wine pairings is good value for money though.
