  Really cool concept. Rooms were nice, clean, and had very comfortable beds. Price was great by Norwegian standards. Despite the hotel being basically 'self serve', it was easy to get extra towels, etc, as needed from staff. Location is great as Bergen is a fairly walkable city and there's a grocery store directly across the street for basics as needed. Would definitely stay here again.

  Love the concept. Wish this particular location I only visited would have more machines for checking in and out as queues were quite dominant during our stay. Also, the fact that booking of two rooms under the same name was bugged was not ideal. Neither was the noise in room that the air conditioning system caused. Otherwise, good concept with many opportunities of improvement. Still, do recommend. +1

  I've stayed at both Oslo and Bergen Citybox. Bergen's is slightly better but only a little. If you're not familiar this is a basic a hotel as you can get in return it's an affordable price, when you just need a place to lay your head and take a shower. No TV's, or hair dryers, however this is a place in the hotel to do laundry. The Bergen Citybox has a small rooftop terrace and the rooms at this location only had thermostats, but they did little to nothing as far as cooling the room. Windows will be your AC. Overall it's exactly what we needed while traveling on a budget when you want to spend more time exploring than in the hotel room.

  This was a good first stop on our trip. Easy sign in and access from the train station was 10 minutes away. Rooms were clean, quiet and ours was large. Some music from the pizzaria in the adjacent courtyard on a warm night but ended at 11 pm. Kitchen facilities worked well and the lounge was clean and convenient. The room rate was spot on. Would book again.

  Stayed here for 3 days. Was the most reasonably priced place at roughly £50 a night. Good points: 24 hour self service desk Very close to the train station, 5-10m walk Close to the city centre, 10-15m walk (depending on pace). Grocery shop opposite Safe area Very quiet inside, no rowdy guests. All facilities available. Rooms didn't have a hair dryer, microwave, kettle, fridge or iron, but these were available in the communal area. Bad points: Heater was a bit temperamental Shower was APALLING, a tiny trickle coming out. If I was staying longer than 3 days I wouldn't have been happy with this. Overall a good experience and location, let down by a poor shower.
