So here´s an updated - honest - review of how I experienced the embassy in Oslo. You do not need an appointment to apply for a visa. 1) Getting there is quite easy, the door is not very clearly marked, but look for the flag on the building outside. The door is closed, so dial the mobile number on the note to be let in. 5th floor. Take the elevator. 2) Processing. There´s a number system in place, take a number and wait. I waited 15 minutes when I arrived 09:45 on a Thursday. I was done within 35 minutes total. Just make sure you bring necessary papers, and it´s all good. Read the instructions and bring letter of recommendation, flight tickets and passport with a passport photo. Complete the forms. 3) Only cash payment, bring exact change. (I didn´t, but the cashier actually told me it was okay, even though I was 5 kroner short - that´s service!) 4) I received my passport and visa through mail delivery after six working days. If anyone complains about no photocopy machine, then all I can say is "duh!" - you do the paperwork beforehand. I also sent an e-mail prior to my visit, it was answered within three days. My follow up e-mail was answered within 20 hours. Why? Because I was polite in my e-mail, and not as rude as some people in these reviews. Smile and be happy, and it all works out fine.

Employees of phil embassy Are polite except one person who is cashier. She is always complaining and never listen to the person who is trying to explain.her reason is she is hungry already! All of us are hungry! They should think that people coming there from different places! If she get tired, people coming there also get tired! Sonis it difficult to please and intertain people without nagging?!

Never answers the phone or email. When we go there it looks closed with a door that only opens from the inside, no respons when we use the doorbell. I even called their emergency phonenumber and no one answered. Could only enter when someone else left. They require copy of papers without having a copy machine themselves, so we have to search the city for one. They only take cash so if you are not prepared you have to search the city for ATM... At the end we had to wait hours to take a photo. Would give them 0 stars if possible.

I was a walk in client for passport. When you get there, there are instructions on the wall. Everything went smoothly and the officers were polite and helpful. As long as you have all the original and photocopies of required documents, you won't have issues. Update: Mar 9 - I went back to today to get some documents notarized. I had my cash and scanned copies and I had no issues processing. There was something wrong with their doorbell though so we had to wait for someone to open the door for us. Please bring CASH when you need to process something. Right now they still don't accept card transactions. April 20 - I finally picked up my notarized document! I went there 9am and there were 2 of us waiting there. (Hi to isabel if you get to read this). And, there were some big changes. 1. The releasing section is at the 4th floor and is open 9am-5pm m-f. 2. The application/processing section is now at the 5th floor and is open 9am-2pm. Please make sure to have copies of all documents needed. I can't stress this enough. Check out the website foe details of requirements. If you don't want bad experiences, come prepared. 3. Layout is more spacious. Comfort rooms are available and clean if we help keep it clean. There's always some change everytime I visit the place and it is always an improvement. Keep it up PH embassy!

they should not accept cash anymore, thats so used in the philippines for corrupt purposes. cash is so obsolete for transactions like this unless its for something dirty.
