::The steaks were okay but not overwhelming. The staff was very friendly but the display of the servings could've been better, especially when considering the price. Of course everything's more expensive in Norway than you'd expect (as a European), but we had way better food for the same price the other day.

::We went here because of recommendations in our travel guide as well as a >4 rating on google. Long story short: Go to Skarven Biffhuset instead. Same price but SO much better in food quality. Now the details: The bread was served with packaged butter. This seems kinda cheap. But the bread was okay. We ordered our food via paper strips where we specified how we like the meat. I ordered a medium rare and would call that a medium-well done if we‘re being generous. It also was a little bit dry and the meat quality was way below what we tasted the night before in Skarven Biffhuset. This was meat that cost 40€ for 300g. I expect more. The salad bar (which you would need to pay to use) looked kinda not fresh. I sneaked in a pic, see below. On the upside, nothing to complain about the service, but nothing standing out about it as well. The experience led us to not order coffee and desert because we felt to be underwhelmed again. If prices were 30% lower it would be okay, but price:quality ratio is just not worth your money.

::When you get your menu you are given a card to fill out, right away it felt strange. Your choices for your steak is rare, med, well done. I like my steak med-rare and it came with very little pink color to the steak. Two friends ordered rare, one was rare, one was med-well done. Steak was not tender like you would expect for the money. Also, it had a place for extra sides that did not clarify there was an extra charge. I make the mistake of ordering the salad (salad bar). Greens were not fresh. Reindeer starter was good. Beer, starter, salad, 200g steak =705 nok =£65 =$90 us. During the 9 day trip, this was the most for one dinner.
